ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, published respectively as Govern- ment Notification Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extra- ordinary No. 39 of the 26th August, 1939, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulation amending section 11 of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939 :-

Amendment.

1. Section 11 (2) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939, is amended by the addition of the following as a third proviso at the end thereof:-

Provided further that, subject to the provisions of section 8 as to appeals, the Compulsory Service tribunal may at any time revoke or vary an assignment of a person to a particular group and may assign him to another group.
